Joe Njoroge

Joe joined Climate Central in May 2023 as the Chief Finance and Administration Officer (CFAO). Joe brings almost 25 years’ experience mostly in Nonprofit management and leadership and in his most recent position was CFO of a global NGO with a presence in 17 countries and combined operating, endowered and trust assets of close to half a billion dollars. One of his recent projects includes overseeing the installation of a global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system including staff training, full systems integration and optimization.

Joe has been recognized as a top CFO in South Jersey and received a letter of commendation from the Governor of New Jersey for his work in assisting communities recover from the effects of Hurricane Sandy during his previous role at the Food Bank of South Jersey. During his ten-year tenure there he oversaw the growth and expansion of the organization as it tripled in size on services delivery and financial sustainability.

Joe is originally from Kenya where he attended the University of Nairobi and holds a B.A in Geography, and Sociology. He also holds a M.S in International Economic Development and Managerial Accounting from Eastern University in Pennsylvania.

Joe is a FAA Certified Private Pilot and an avid aviator. He is also a motorcycle rider, speaks several languages and an avid traveler. He lives in Pottstown Pennsylvania and is a big football (soccer) fan.
